This a sample how to send SMS using AT Commands like in Hyper Terminal via GSM Modem or compatible GSm phone attatched to the PC Comport or USB port..

For this sample i used Huawei E160 GSM/HSDPA/GPRS modem..

demonstrate how to use MSComm Control in VB6 in order to send data to the GSM Modem

TODO:

this code may not work with other modem so better check your modem's specs and manual

check your modem's settings (baud Rate,RtsHold,HandShake, etc .and comport number in order to run this project..

yes it is possible, you only need an GSM modem or phone in order to execute the SMS command to shutdown your machine, I already had this project, you can contact me if you want a demo. you can use shell commnads to shutdown, restart,etc ur pc shut down the windows Shell "C:\WINDOWS\RUNDLL.EXE user.exe,exitwindows" all the best, tnx

Hello! I have to make an application to dial a phone and send SMS using a GSM/GPRS modem in C# for my diploma project.I have just made the part of sending SMS and dialing a phone.Now I have to inject voice after the call is established and this is the part that I don't know how to do :(.If somebody could help me with a small part of the code , it will be very nice.I have made an application of converting text to voice , using Speech Library. hi sir, i have developed a sms application sms. i cn send n rcv sms in text mode with out any error. but i rcv error with no error code during sending msg in pdu mode from VB6. the same pdu text msg works fine when i copy to hyper terminal.plz suggest any solutions to the above problem.thank you. I am busy building a web application...One of its's cornerstones will be its ability to be able to send SMS's to it's users. Messed around with Ozeki SMS Server but gave me trouble after sending just one SMS(not with my application). Currently using Samsung e250 as a modem. I just need help with step 1. what will i need to send an SMS using Visual Studio 2008 and C#.Net. I mean, what are all the settings i need to make and all the equipment i will need. Thinking of using a database to handle the SMS Server(if u reccommend 1) what do i need and what do i do? thanx for consideration Danny, 3rd - year student, South Africa P.S. cant i force my internet provider 2 send the sms as part of my connection. probably as an email?
