This a sample how to send SMS using AT Commands like in Hyper Terminal via GSM Modem or compatible GSm phone attatched to the PC Comport or USB port..

For this sample i used Huawei E160 GSM/HSDPA/GPRS modem..

demonstrate how to use MSComm Control in VB6 in order to send data to the GSM Modem

TODO:

this code may not work with other modem so better check your modem's specs and manual

check your modem's settings (baud Rate,RtsHold,HandShake, etc .and comport number in order to run this project..

Dear Sir/Madam, This is prem from india. I have recently purchased EDGE USB MODEM (EG162G) from Huawei . I making as sms application using C# by sending AT commands into it. I facing one problem into it. I am able to receive SMS from SIM memory using AT commands but not able to receive SMS from phone Memory. its also not showing any error while receving SMS from phone memory. and my GSM modem supproted MT,ME,SM memory.I am giving follwing commands for reading it. First selecting Phone memory, like this AT+CPMS=ME and then giving following command AT+CMGL=ALL please help me out from this problem, or if u can send some code for AT commands, Links, Tutorial etc. Waiting for positive response. Hi, I have the same issue as mentioned above by Prem. Im using a Huawei E220 modem and i can list only the received SMS stored in the sim (SM) memory. I need to retrieve the several messages stored in the modem's local memory but AT+CPMS="ME" and then listing the messages won't work. Can someone suggest an alternative? Hello, First test if you are able to send an sms from hyperterminal/equivalent programe. The default baud rate for the Teltonika Modem is 115200Kbits/sec with hardware flow control. you can always change that. If that works then use vb.net the usual way. Otherwise that modem works just like any other modem. Hope this helps.

Hi, In my system, I need to use this modem in this two mode : Data and Voice. For the Data part, no problems. But for the voice part, I have no sound. To call someone, I use AT commands in a VB.NET application. The communication are OK. I receive or i can send a call, but no sound pass beetween the two parts. Of course, with AT commands, I change the sound and don't put in HP mode : AT+CMUT = 0 AT+CLVL = 4 If I use Mobile Partner application, The voice are up. If I compare the AT log with mine, the two applications send the same commands. I think the voice data are not transmit to the audio systems(HP, microphone) Excuse me for my bad english.
