This program is useful to those who are used in a shared computer coz sometimes we have personal data that we don’t want other people to view or access… in this software, you can now locked your private file with security by supplying a password to make sure that only you can unlock your folder again … to do, just double clicked the locked folder icon and enter the same password that you are provided during the locked mode.. password : Admin [email protected] >>>>

Note: Due to the size or complexity of this submission, the author has submitted it as a .zip file to shorten your download time. After downloading it, you will need a program like Winzip to decompress it.

I don't know why its not working in your pc, but for me its work fine.. ive tried this in my 15 pc here in my internet shop and the password work great... i am using xp os... By the way, you can bypass the Login form if you want... just open the project, then goto to the project/project properties in your vb6 menu bar, then set the start up object to Form1 so that its no need to enter the password if you run the program.. it is jump to the main form and you can try to Locked any folder in your pc.. notice me if you done... good luck...

oh i see. sir i dont have vb6 but my concern is that how come when i open the unlock folder.exe and input the password which is "Admin" it doesn't work at all. when i input "Admin" the program prompt "wrong password" :(( by the way sir i added you on my yahoo messenger "artoo_boi11" and if you dont mind sir ill call you today at around 8pm if its ok with you. thanks for the reply. :)

I got it.. the unlock folder.exe is used only if you want to unlock your Locked folder... i have make an exe file called Folder Locker.exe and i have included it in my project folder.. just download again the program, then double click on the "FOLDER LOCKER.EXE" and Enter the password "Admin".. im sure its gonna work now.. then after that.. browse for the folder you want to be locked and click for the Lock folder Button in the form and enter your desire password.... after that you can notice that your icon folder change to a padlock icon.. which is mean that it has locked successfully... to unlock that folder.. just double click it,, (not the unlock folder.exe in your project folder but the folder that you have locked).. then enter the same password that you are using to locked that folder... Notice me if got successful... thank's........................ NOTE : I have included also a VB6.0 Portable software if you want to see the code.. just run vb6.0 and browse the project in your project folder...

i was able to call you sir but someone else answer the phone because your out. anyway, thank you a lot sir. this would be of help. but i think there are some bugs because when i try to lock it (and it worked), but then when i want to unlock it program prompts (run time error) and i need to use "Run as Admin" just to access it (and it work again), it will unlock but then again as i go to the folder i saw folder that has a padlock icon which means there will be 2 folder one for the unlocked and the other for the folder that has a padlock icon. sorry if i criticize your work sir. just want it to workable. sorry really am. :). BTW sir can you propose some online thesis for me? as in (PHP). if you have some. needed for my thesis. please. thanks. online voting is not allowed. it was rejected by our professor. thank you thank you very much.

its ok... maybe you are using windows 7 operating system that's why it not worked 100% cause i think (not sure) the file system object which i have use to move or delete the file doesn't work... but in windows XP i am using it for almost a month and no error appears just what you have encountered.. by the way thank's for ur time.... about your thesis.... i am starting to learn PHP right now... maybe some others day's i can help you ,, but there is a lot of people in this site that know the language PHP,, Jake Pomperada i think can help you... good luck fellow coder's... more power .....

I try to create a Limited account and run my program, then i got same error that you have encountered... So therefore, to fix the error, just go to in your control panel/user account.. and change your account settings from Limited to Administrator... then try to run the program again...

may i ask you about the Computer Enhanced Instruction (CEI). its like Computer Aided Instruction (CAI) but something different its on pure instruction with video and voice instruction and can be network to other computers.

Before Running the Program

Before running the program,, make sure that your user account is running as administrator and not a Limited .. you can check it in your user account setting under control panel....

my feedback

this program is good however this program is for beginners or newbies user of pc only and not for advance users. let's say for example i am advance user and my pc is running in normal mode windows and i knew there is a hidden folder because of the size of partition or drive, ovcourse i will think that there is a program holding the hidden folder, all i have to do is run my pc in other OS especially running in RAM and voila the hidden folder before is now visible. but this program is enough because only few people know how to break the hidden folder. Anyway i tested this in windows 7 and it works perfectly just run the program as administrator everytime when locking or unlocking. www.allan5742.com

one more comment. the program must have an options to change the master password

Admin Setting's

the unlock option under the admin settings is used only if you forgotten your password used to locked your folder, however, if not is the case.. its no need to run the program just to unlock your folder... you can do the same by double clicking your locked folder, then supply your password...
