CHAPTER 7: SYSTEM TESTING

This is the stage that will test the system to ensure that they are fault free and are made per the user requirements. In this chapter the customer validation methodologies that is, Alpha and Beta Testing will be taken into consideration.

7.1. ALPHA TESTING.

This is the internal acceptance test and a pre-release activity in which the users or the market cannot access it. This is done in the testing environment that is, developer’s site. This testing is performed to prove if the system works.

Alpha testing has been done to prove the following:

The functionality and the usability of the Rental House Management System are observed. Each module should function as desired.
The bugs are found and eliminated.
The system has the quality it is expected to have.

7.2. BETA TESTING.

This is the final testing phase where the product is released to few external user groups outside the testing environment. This initial software version is known as the beta version. This is the testing carried out by the real users in the real environment.

Beta Testing has been done to prove the following:

The system is reliable, secure and performs its functions as desired.
The system has met the user requirements and satisfies the user.
The system is ready to be used in a large scale
The bugs that were not found before are dealt with in versions.
