This is Open source SACCO Management System free download which is developed for computer science students. The field of computer science is concerned with the study, development, and maintenance of digital computers and computer systems. Moreover, it encompasses a wide variety of areas such as data science, information technology, networking, programming, coding, and web development, in addition to many other full-fledged areas of interest. Students need to take responsibility for implementing the skills they learn, such as web development, programming, data analysis, content management, and more, as most computer science courses focus on developing various skills. By considering market requirements I developed this mini project which is nothing but a Mini - SACCO Management System. I am not committing that this is the final solution for SACCO software this is an initial level structure for the same.

A SACCO stands for a Savings and Credit Co-Operative Society. Our cooperative financial institution is operated on cooperative values, identity, and principles that promote social responsibility, honesty, trust, and care for others.

Self-help organizations are self-help groups in which members pool their savings and lend to each other. Establishing SACCOs was primarily intended to enable the poor to use their limited resources effectively, thereby combating poverty.

The SACCO is a member-driven federation of self-help cooperatives with a democratic structure. Members own, govern, and manage it as a group for the purpose of achieving a collaborative goal such as a labor union, working for the same employer, belonging to the same church, social fraternity, or living in the same town.

SACCOs play a significant role around the world, as this number indicates. The first SACCO, which is also known as a cooperative or credit union, was founded in Germany in 1846. Since then, they have gained popularity in Canada, the United States, Europe, and most notably in Africa.

All members of SACCOs are eligible for membership regardless of race, color, religion, creed, employment status, or gender. Their savings are pooled into the SACCO and they are able to provide loan funds at a reasonable interest rate to other members.

In addition to being regulated and registered, the management teams of SACCOs are professionally staffed. Unbanked people can now be reached by SACCOs. People can invest, save, and raise capital through these organizations in a simple, accessible, and reliable manner.

Around 14 million Kenyans belong to SACCOs, which have more than Sh732 billion in deposits and more than Sh1 trillion in assets. The country has more than 16,500 societies registered as co-operatives.
As of the end of 2014, there were 53,982 SACCOs in Ethiopia, up from 26,672 in 2009. Over the past five years, annual growth has averaged 17 percent.

With a democratic structure, SACCOs are member-driven self-help cooperatives. It is owned, governed, and managed by its members for achieving a common goal such as forming a union, working for the same employer, belonging to the same church, or living in the same town.

How to Run ??

Requirements

• Download and Install any local web server such as XAMPP.
• Download the provided source code zip file. (download button is located below)

System Installation/Setup

1. Open your XAMPP Control Panel and start Apache and MySQL.
2. Extract the downloaded source code zip file.
3. Copy the extracted source code folder and paste it into the XAMPP's "htdocs" directory.
4. Browse the PHPMyAdmin in a browser. i.e. http://localhost/phpmyadmin
5. Create a new database naming sacco.
6. Import the provided SQL file. The file is known as sacco.sql located inside the database folder.
7. Browse the Online Bank Management System in a browser. i.e. http://localhost/sacco_shield/sacco_shield.

Default Admin Access: all details are available in credentials file.
