Simple Cold Storage Management System using PHP/OOP with Source Code

Introduction

This is a simple project is entitled Cold Storage Management System and was developed using PHP and MySQL Database. It is a web-based application that serves as the Cold Storage Business Website which provides their clients or possible client an easy-to-access platform to know about their company. This project also gives the clients an online booking platform to reserve or book cold storage to store their stocks. The application has a simple and pleasant user interface. It also has user-friendly features and functionalities.

About the Cold Storage Management System

I developed this project using the following:

• XAMPP v3.3.0 as my local webserver that has a PHP Version 8.0.7
• PHP Language

• and some other plugins/libraries.

The Simple Cold Storage Management System has 2 sides of the user interface which are the Admin Side and the Public Side. The Admin Side is the side of the application where the management can manage the information that is shown on their public website. The management can update the website information such as the company information, "about us" content, "welcome" content, and more. The Public Side is the of the project which allows any user to access some of the information of the company. Clients or possible clients can explore the cold storages of the business/company. Also, they can submit a booking application to the management for the stock they want to store for their desired duration of time. The booking application will be listed at the admin panel, and the management is the one who can verify or confirm the application.

How to Run ??

Requirements

• Download and Install any local web server such as XAMPP/WAMP.
• Download the provided source code zip file. (download button is located below)

Installation/Setup

1. Open your XAMPP/WAMP's Control Panel and start Apache and MySQL.
2. Extract the downloaded source code zip file.
3. If you are using XAMPP, copy the extracted source code folder and paste it into the XAMPP's "htdocs" directory. And If you are using WAMP, paste it into the "www" directory.
4. Browse the PHPMyAdmin in a browser. i.e. http://localhost/phpmyadmin
5. Create a new database naming csms_db.
6. Import the provided SQL file. The file is known as csms_db.sql located inside the database folder.
7. Browse the Cold Storage Management System in a browser. i.e. http://localhost/csms/
