Docker Raises $15 M for Cloud Development Led by Greylock Partners

An open source engine for deploying apps via container running on Linux server, Docker, raised $15 million for cloud development (formerly known as web application development) led by Greylock Partners in a Series B round. Docker, formerly known as dotCloud before it was renamed in 2009, was launched by Solomon Hykes. The generated funds of Docker will be used to enhance more the deployment system of apps and to create a team to develop the open-source technology. Docker has now building up counter parts in terms of application running, testing and scaling on the apps provided by programmers and developers. Docker also offers credibility for programmers and developers to modify and create alternative applications. Docker is widely used by other organizations and platforms such as the world's largest search engine Google, Ebay, Cloudfare and among others which is set for programming and database handling. Docker ventures management on migrating and monitoring servers which includes operating system server, web server, application server and some other kinds of server. Docker is more similar with VMware when it comes to application management as reconfiguration of the system is not given during scaling and updating the server. Docker container as top basement for operating system moves with codes which is synchronized by its system.
