Elance and oDesk Announce Merger

Elance and oDesk, freelance online staffing platform company announced their plan to merge into a single corporate entity.
The merger company will no longer exist as rival in the industry after which able to cater over 8 million freelancers and 120 million businesses in 180 countries worldwide.
The merging companies expect to centralize the concept of both companies in order to improve technical capabilities,mainstream internal processes and online collaboration.
"This merger will create unprecedented access and flexibility for people to find job opportunities regardless of their location, and will allow businesses of all sizes to more easily access the best available talent,"
Fabio Rosati Elance chief executive said.
Fabio Rosati will serve as Chief Executive Officer (CEO) while oDesk CEO Gary Swart will stand as strategic supervisor.
The consideration to merge is not yet final, however, the expected result for the merger will be release in next four months.
The outcome of the the two largest online platforms will oppose to full time freelance position to shelter broader and fractional jobs.
