Commemorating a national event in the Philippines, the National Heroes Day, does not only comes with a holiday but also a celebration of several programs held in the country. It is done to remember and honor the bravery of the heroes in defending the country.
Several special acts of honor are done in the monuments of the heroes paving the way to trace back what the history holds. There might be a lot of tragedies in the past but there were also lots of triumphs that are worth remembering.
In line with the national event, Google has added something that will make this year's National Heroes Day different. The giant has come up with a virtual history tour in the Philippines.
The virtual history tour featured monuments of heroes and the significant events in the past. Lapu-Lapu Shrine in Cebu, Sultan Kudarat Monument in Makati City, and Rizal Monument in Luneta are featured in the virtual tour.
Further, Google also included Pinaglabanan Shrine and the Spirit of Pinaglabanan, Bonifacio Monument in Caloocan City, Mabini Shrine in Nagtahan, Manila, the Leyte Landing Monument, Filipino Heroes Memorial in Corregidor, and the People Power Monument on Edsa.
