Simple Grading System using Visual Basic.Net with Source Code

This application was created using Visual basic.Net and the database support of this system is created in Microsoft Access 2007. The main purpose of this system is to create and save new data of student, Grades of the specific term of the school year. This application source code can help you to learn how to create VB.NET and MS Access database integration project. The source code has 4 main/common functions when developing an application or system with database management system which are the Create, Read, Update, and Delete functions. The said main functions is very usefull that you can learn from the source code for your future projects.

Features:

Load all the students and view their records in the datagridview.
It has a "Compute Grades" button that enables the user to automatically compute the grades of a specific student.
It shows the details of a specific student from the datagridview and display it into text boxes and allows the user to update the record of a student.
And the user is able to delete a student when needed by clicking the "Delete Record" button.
This program also has a navigation panel that allows the user to navigate through all the records from the database.

The image below is the user interface where the user fill this form when creating a new record or updating the existing record.

When loading the student list and records, the next image is the interface where loaded data will be display.

How to Run

Download and Install the ff:

Microsoft Visual Studio Software
Microsft Access Database Engine 2010

Setup the project

Download and Extract the source code. (download button is located below)
Open the extracted source code folder and locate the "gradesys.sln" file.
Open the solution file (.sln) with your Visual Studio Software
Upgrade the source code if visual studio promt a recommended upgrade.
Press the "F5" key on your keyboard to run.

There you go, you can now explore the features and functionalities of the Simple Grading System VB.NET project. The application has a user-friendly functionalities so the user can easily understand how the system works.
