In every programming there are a lot of languages used as a vital code and C is considered as one of the most popular language that is basically used on search engine, meanwhile in a separate survey JavaScript is now seen on top and this is based on the examining code repositories in GitHub.
Gauged is the other language which is also popular by Teobe's monthly index.
Gauged could be able to determine and measure the language which is commonly used, and with this code it is also possible to know the changes in terms of language ranking.
Just this month the top 8 landed to most popular language were revealed including C, Java, Objective-C, C++, C#, PHP, Visual Basic, and Python, which is just similar with the rankings last year (December 2012).
In categorizing the ranking of popular languages, Tiobe based it on how it will search on Google, Yahoo and even in Wikipedia.
Meanwhile, HubReports also ranked its top 5 languages such as JavaScript, Ruby, Java, Python, and PHP and this is also according to the review of code repositories in GitHub.
With the assessment gathered C comes in sixth, however HubReports spokesman David Boyer said in a statement "It's all collected from the GitHub API on a daily basis, within an hour window," and he also added "The statistics are based on counts returned by specially set searches and the list of languages are defined by the language detection system that GitHub built called linguist. The idea is straightforward enough, but it did take a lot of effort to put together."
As of this matter Tiobe's index also varied throughout the year, yet it reveled its top four biggest gainers for this year 2013 which are already transact such as SQL (up 1.30 percentage points), Visual Basic (0.80 percent), JavaScript (0.53 percent), and F# (0.41 percent).
